Getting Started

The initial goal of psychotherapy is often the immediate relief of distress related to an crisis or traumatic situation. You’ll learn to cope, adapt and build skills as we explore patterns in your life.  As our work deepens, your personal growth will become the focus as you make lasting changes in yourself and the way you engage in your life.

Psychotherapy may be offered in my office, by phone or by secure video conference. Services are payable by check, cash or credit card. Call 720-940-3395 or email me so we can schedule a first session together.

Psychotherapy

50 minutes                $195

I work primarily with individuals and couples. I welcome people of all backgrounds into my office and enjoy a diverse clientele including people from the LGBTQ community. Face-to-face sessions are more helpful, but secure video conferencing is an option for clients who may be too busy to get away during the work day. The initial session needs to be face-to-face. Reduced fees are available on a limited basis.

Most clients come once a week and some schedule twice a month. However, I have clients who come twice a week when they need extra support.  As issues are cleared, clients often come in less frequently for a period of time before ending therapy.

You may be eligible for reimbursement for all or part of your therapy sessions from your health insurance or flex spending plan, or both. You can investigate this option by contacting your insurance plan about your out-of-network mental health benefits.  Psychotherapy can be a medical deduction and tax write off.

You may cancel your session anytime up to 48 hours before the scheduled time with no charge for any reason. If you are ill, you may cancel the appointment up to six hours before the appointment without incurring charges. All other cancellations are subject to full charges.

For Our First Session

Prior to our first session, I’ll send you several forms to review and complete through my secure website including my Policies Form, Disclosure Form, HIPPA Notice of Privacy Practices, Client Information Form, Acknowledgement Form and Credit Card Authorization Form.
