About Genie

I am dually licensed as a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Colorado (license CSW-844) and in the state of New Mexico (license SWB-2023-0281). I work as a psychotherapist, coach and workshop facilitator and graduated from Arizona State University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work in 2000.

With over 30 years of experience serving as a therapist to children, adolescents and adults, I work from an integrative perspective and rely on a broad range of techniques including psychodynamic, transpersonal, somatic experiencing and family systems interventions. I often integrate traditional therapeutic approaches with coaching techniques depending on your unique needs and goals. As a serious student of shamanism for more than 20 years, I combine these contemporary methods with ancient indigenous wisdom to support a connection to your heart, your inner wisdom, and your personal power.

I have a unique ability to support your natural healing process and bring compassion, mindfulness and humor into my work.

My skills and expertise create the container of our collaborative relationship; you bring self-knowledge, the ability to learn from your life experiences, and a vision of what you want your life to be.
